About Me

I am not a professional photographer, all the images presented on the site have been captured as part of my hobby and interest in photography and the great outdoors. I am a willing, real amateur with a desire to improve and develop. Like many people, I have always taken photographs, but in 2011 I decided to step-up and try to learn how to take better images.

Since then I have made a real effort to improve and have developed a passion for seascapes and landscapes and in particular for long exposure photography. Typically, long exposure photography involves the use of filters on a camera lens to extend the amount of time a camera’s sensor {in the case of digital} is exposed to the light. The effect of this is to smooth or blur movement, as in the movement of waves, to give a unique effect and atmosphere to an image. Long exposure techniques are often used to capture star trails or to combine an element of movement against a static subject.

Finally, this site is a bit of fun. If you are wondering where the name came from, it’s simple. One of my favourite bands is Squeeze and one of their best songs is Up The Junction. If you should be so inclined and wish to use one of my images for any purpose, please get in contact and I will happily grant permission. You can do that via Facebook, Instagram, Flickr or 500px {details at the bottom of this page}. Please don’t use, copy or reproduce any of my images without my prior written consent.
