The marina wall and lighthouse at Watchet, Somerset

Some lovely shapes and curves in this image of the marina, sea wall and lighthouse at Watchet, Somerset. I only managed a quick visit to capture this shot, but fortunately the weather and conditions were in my favour,.

Punts

Punts lined up on the River Cam, Cambridge.

A visit to Cambridge offered many opportunities for some great shots, I settled on this line-up of moored punts on the river Cam.

Pool

Boating lake and paddling pool at Weston Super Mare, Somerset.

A high tide flowing up the beach and past the boating lake at Weston Super Mare. Cool colours and the smoothed waters create a very pleasing image.

Standing

A standing stone from within the Avebury Stone Circle, Avebury Wiltshire.

Taken on a photography workshop held in and around the beautiful Wiltshire village of Amesbury. The stones are massive and magnificent.

Hills

View from a hilltop alongside the West Kennett Long Barrow burial chamber near Avebury, Wiltshire, UK.

Taken during a photo workshop held in and around the beautiful Wiltshire village of Avebury. Just loved the colours and the shapes of the land.

Derelict

The now derelict West Pier at Brighton.

Damaged by fire it is slowly falling in to the arms of the sea. It makes for a captivating subject and I love the textures in the waves and the pebbles on the beach in this image.

Orange

The East Beach Cafe building, Littlehampton, West Sussex.

A stunning piece of modern architecture that aims to blend in with the natural coastal surroundings and also does a nice cup of tea.

Modern

The new pier at Brighton.

A 150 second long exposure to smooth the sea, captured at the end of the day in a lovely blue light. A real contrast with the derelict pier at the other end of the promenade.
